The pokes were fabulous went right over Trump and regimes heads but Canadians got them. In dealing with someone residing in an alternative reality I felt he did well. As far as being able to make a “deal” I don’t hold much hope but the attempt had to be made. I hope Carney comes home and turns his attention back to diversifying our trade with other partners. I also hope all Canadians realize the importance of buying anything other than USA moving forward.

PM Carney in my opinion didn’t go there for a deal, he went there to establish a position.

We have to diversify and build up military. A great start and yes I was 1 hoping tarrifs would be dropped.

Sorry for the late reply Bill, was busy with other things and other people. Want to thank you for putting this situation in perspective. Most people would have wanted to give the President some grief over his attitude about Canada being for sale. I have a sister in Toronto who is a real estate agent (The French Connection lol) and she would have replied the same way Mr. Carney did. Some properties are not for sale, no matter what the price. I always wonder (although l can guess lol) what mr Trump would say to us if we suggested that we make the US as the next 5 provinces (One would be too big lol) Mr Trump could be a Premier (His choice). He would invariably turn us down flat and fast. Don't think he would appreciate his own medicine being stuffed down his throat. Bigger isn't always better and l think Mr Trump does. The US would be huge with us as the 51st State. Bigger although not better. Our hearts are Canadian not American and that is the way we are going to Stay. Thanks Bill. Tc and may God bless. Sincerely Carl French Hamilton Ontario Canada
