I agree with you, re: we have to diversify trades but we can't snub the US altogether (at least at surface level) even as US under Trump is getting neurotic and chaotic, and there is no amount of negotiation will roll back tariffs to zero. I do hope though, Canadians will continue to persevere, to prioritize buying Canadians and non US products, to not travel to US. I also believe some measures of austerity will have to happen in order to get us through tough times with our sovereignty intact.
